So, how is Amp Fest doing this year?
Here's some figures that show you where we are at compared to last year.

Ticket Sales: UP UP UP....
Tickets went on sale one week ago and already local outlets and online outlet are reporting sales around 100. Take not that this is the week of Cornerstone and many of the people that would buy tickets are away for the next week. Typically, based on statistical data and experience, tickets sales for events in Rock Falls, IL and surrounding area do not pick up until the week before the event. We are very excited to report that our sales are a good indicator that this WILL BE A STELLAR YEAR!

Website Hits: Increased Dramatically!
This year's home/index page hits are 9 times as many as last year! That means for every 1 unique visit to the index page last year, we are getting 10 in 2007. Historically, July and August have experienced the most page visits, May and June's totals individually, outdid the two combined last year! The tickets page is also up dramatically and this interest in bands and the Your Fest section have increased as well.

Fans & Bands Feedback: We're on the up & up!
We travel to every town within a 100 mile radius to put up fliers for Amp Fest. In many cases we extend to specific target markets beyond those boundries and attend hundreds of other concerts throughout the year. Recently, we have gone to concerts over 100 miles away and have continually met new kids who are excited about and planning on attending Amp Fest. We have fostered this relationship by giving them materials and incentives to promote among friends and we are seeing a dramatic influx of new, unique web hits on our myspace directly from this. What about the bands!? They bands have been loaded with amo to help promote the show and whenever we run across or check in with a band, we have received incredible feedback. They are excited to play with old friends and excited about the feedback they are getting about the fest from friends at shows.

What about on the local scene?
Locally, weI have been astonished by the feedback we are getting. Individual staff members have been getting calls at work and stopped when out and about to be asked questions about the event. (IT'S STILL JUNE! This is great!) Local media have been picking up the event and have been calling and arranging meetings on their own. (A stellar sign) It's something the community has been talking about. We recently met with the local city authorities to go over a few details and fielded many questions about the fest that had been pressed from individuals in the community. These questions were all laced with excitement and anticipation about which bands are playing and about the addition of the second stage. We are happy to report that the City of Rock Falls, its staff, Police & Fire Chiefs, and everyone in between are an incredible help to the festival. They offer the support that events need to grow and have a real desire to be involved in events that benefit the community.
